Back up light switch location?
Going to install a set of old back up lights on the '67 coupe 3 spd but noticed that the back up lights wiring at the engine bay/firewall have been cut. Therefore, no switch to be found. Prices for these switches seem to range from $45 to $60. I'm sure I could ghetto mod a switch with a normally opened switch but have no idea where the switch should go. Looked thru the shop manual and electrical diagrams but no luck finding a picture of such. Anyone have a picture of the switch mounted so I could have a clue on how to install it. Thanx in advance for the help....[sm=wootwoot.gif]

Look on the tranny at the linkage that hooks up to the tranny. There should be a bolt hole where the switch attaches.

Is this where the switch bolts up?

It's dark outside now, so I can't get a pic of mine, but will get it and get back to you tomorrow, but that looks right. Whenever you shift into reverse, the switch should hit the reverse linkage.
