Default Track video!!!

It took me awhile to get this to share.

I've posted it on another forum, but I thought I would share it here as well

In this little video you will learn the following...

1. How to not do a burnout...def. not enough white coming out before I stopped
2. How to not stage....gee look at me...I'm self important...I'll just roll up here and lock in on both lights without even bothering to wait for my lane partner
3. How to not launch....bah...launch...I'll just sit here at idle...and when the light turns green...I'll just go
4. How to not have any reaction time...see #3...la la la la...ohh look the lights green
5. How to not use 2nd gear...yup...linkages weren't setup right...I had to just let the car shift itself...up to 5k or so in first, then just clicking right past 2nd and dropping to very low RPM in 3rd.
6. How to not run a 12....but be ohhhh so close ....you may recall it ran a best of 12.5 the day of this video after I fixed the linkages...but it is sooo funny to watch.

I swear...looks like grandpa racing down the track.

Default Great ETA/MPH...for a four speed

13.06 @106 are good numbers for a manual transmission car!

OK, as long as we're fessing up, how about sitting in neutral, and dropping the hammer when the light turned green only to bounce off the rev limiter [&:] DOH! Yeah, I was a little red faced looking at my freinds rolling on the ground laughing at "Mr. Reaction Time".

Nice run for a power glide!
Looks like you've got some massive torque in the upper mid-range. Better stiffen up those seat brackets.

Its an auto

I was having a problem with the car pushing out on me when I tried to flash the converter/stall the car up to a launch speed. It just wouldn't sit still....I red lighted 3 times...I would stage, try to get the revs up and it would just move out.

Yeah, IIRC it's an AOD right? I was just giving you a bad time.

Sound's like it's time for a Line Lock.

A Line Lock only locks the front brakes.

No, but you will use the pads a little faster. It also depends on how many burn outs and how long you do them for, participating in a burn out competition where you smoke the rear tires for 2 minutes by using the one foot on break, one foot on gas technique will cause you problems in the long run. You also can't race with track tires without heating them up BTW and expect good performance.

This is what times slips look like when you run drag radials and don't heat them up:

This is what times slips look like with NO OTHER change other than doing a burn out to heat up the drag radials:
