I could be wrong but I doubt it would fit. It didn't fit in a 69 or 70 without shock tower modifications. Here's a couple of sites with some information:

Here are pics of mine ;http://www.1969boss429.com I believe John Colleti put a fuel injected Boss 429 engine in a 95,many modifications to fit it however.Interestling though, the Boss 429 is smaller than the 4.6 in physical dimensions !

im sure it could be done but why would you want too? the motor is worth way more than the car is and your going to have to use a special tranny like a c6 or top loader or something with the big block bolt patter. im sure it would be cool but i think it would be a waste of a boss 429.

Did your friend buy a 429 wedge engine ? $ 1500.00 would be a very good deal on an aluminum hemi head Boss 429 engine.

yeah, theres a BIG difference between the regular 385-series 429 and the BOSS, and back to the question at hand, yes it will fit, the mod motors are almost 2-in wider than the BOSS!!! but the real question is DO YOU HAVE A BOSS 429?!?!

this webpage will help: http://fast-autos.net/ford/fordbossmustang.html
