Just imagine...
2005 Mustang GT add a BOSS 429 engine and BAM!! One of the coolest cars that will never happen. Some needs to build this or at least draw it or photoshop or whatever. An awesome possibilty would be the 2005 Mustang, 2003 Mach 1 Shaker assembly, a T-56 6-speed tranny, awesome suspension upgrades, and the Ford 5.0 Cammer crate engine. It's already got 450 (i think) horsepower. 5.0=302. This could be the next BOSS 302. This could be a major possibility. 26000 (base GT) plus 14000 (Cammer motor) is 40K (plus another 5K, roughly, for tranny and other mods), i think it's worth it, do you? somebody photoshop this!! or write to Ford, i've tried but i don't know how to contact them

i hate to correct you, i know its really annoying and its a habit of mine, but its the 385 series engines. the BOSS 9 is in the same family as the 429/460s...again, i know its annoying, but get it right

RE: Just imagine...
no offense fordboy, the boss 429 is a beastly and sexy engine that anyone would give their right and left arm for probably but we try and think about cool looking 64.5-73 models here. You may want to take this to the 05-06 board.
P.S. it's one thing to correct the Classic Section's dad, but the little "get it right" at the end just sounds a little rude

you really like those mod motors dont you, dont get me wrong, they are great (fast, good power, yadda-yadda) but, as you said, this is a classic section...i really dont wanna start an argument, i just wanna know what others think of my idea...well, i guess youre right, the second part (BOSS 302) belongs in the 2005 section, im gonna do that right now...sorry to waste your time

RE: Just imagine...
well ya, but the engine part of the discussion does belong here as it falls in the classic area of technology,lol....besides, if you put a 429 in a new mustang with fuel injection, every time you touched the gas, you might burn out...lol, that would suck if you do it in front of a cop on accident

I don't like or dislike anybody who comes up with factual information. http://www.mustangandfords.com/featuredvehicles/5154
Yes, as you have pointed out., the old technology produced some great numbers, but not as have the newest technological innovations for HP. However, this is the classic section of Mf, so I will not venture forward with the discussion about the differences between the two.
