Default 351W

Hey guys,

I have a a 66 with a 289 in it, and was wondering what it would take to replace it with a 351. Would any special mods need to be made or would it fit in? I have a C4 and was also wondering if that would work with it.

the 66's had only 2 engines to choose from. A 200cui I6 and the 289cui 2V and 4V V8. I dont think a 351 could fit in it without modifying the engine bay.

A 351Windsor is a bolt-in swap. No shock tower modifications needed. It also has the same bolt pattern as your 289 so the C4 will work. Depending on the intake manifold you are using, you may have some carburetor/hood clearance issues.
