how hard wout it be?
if you can.....i dont see it being very common for people to be gettin rid of their seats already but hey, i know some people have so whatever. if you can get some, thats pretty much incentive enough to put them in your car....like you have no choice basically then. you have to.
I would think your best bet is a salvage yard where someone has wrecked one already. Once you get them out then you'd be able to determine how hard it would be. Chances are you'd have to do some fabrication like was stated earlier. I will say this...if you do successfully put them in the PLEASE come back and share that knowledge.
I created a database of non-stock seats that people have put in the classic, most entries in the database have pics as well.

You can see what others have done as well as their heights etc for fitment.

Its not hard.
Take of the power tracks of the 05
Fab up a spacer level the seat base.
Bolt the old mustang seat tracks to the bottom.
I put Bullitt seats in my 65 this way.
I was a little unhappy with the first install that left me with a sliding driver seat, so I took it back out, took apart the tracks to get another 1/2 of an inch and moved them up on the base an 1 inch further, then bolted it all down. Seat doesn't adjust anymore but its in the perfect spot and fit for the only people who drive the car. Passenger side seat base was flat so no spacer was needed to level it and it still slides in my car.

Adding these diff seats didn't take up too much extra room from the back seat, did it? Not that I really care how much room is in the back seat...its not like I am going to be riding back there.
If you were going to add 3 point seat belts, would it be better to add the shoulder strap to the top frame of the car or to the actual seat? Cant you find seats with the shoulder straps built into them? Would the be dangerous because the seats are just bolted into the floor pan (in a 66 coupe)?
thanks
