Hi, I am new here. I just purchased a 71 vert with 351C. I would like to remove dash and have it powder coated or painted. I have remove all the parts I can. I got the vert switch out but am not sure how to remove plastic ***** from light, washer, switch so I can remove the switch from dash. Do I have to cut plastic **** off. I would like advice if you have. Oh also the cig lighter, may be easy I havnt tried lighter yet.

Reach under your dash and feel along the top (or side) of your headlight switch. There is a little spring loaded stub; press down on it and pull the **** completely out. You may have to release the spring loaded stub once the **** assembly starts to come out. The wiper switch has a set screw on it (probably allen head). Good luck...
