What are some good books to learn about a car I'm about to buy? Its a 1967mustang with a 220, auto, and factory air (its a much better deal than my neighbors as it runs, no body rust/bondo and all that other problems

It's not a 220 engine. Check through all the FAQ above.

I would get this book called Mustang restoration handbook...its an older book but it covers every aspect of what you need to do to restore your stang. It has plenty of pictures to go along with the reading and even step by step procedures.

220? That is the first time I have heard that one. I had never heard of a 250 either. I thought the biggest I6 was the 200 but when it comes to I6's who really pays attention. If it is a small block V8 it almost has to be a 289 or a 302. It could be a 260 but not likely in a 67, they only came in 64 1/2. This engine family actually started with the little known 221. This motor was only made in 61 and 62 I believe. You dont ever really see these motors and a lot of people think that they are 260's. I would be curious to know what motor is really in it but whatever it is, it is not a 220.

There's are several books at book stores on restoring Mustangs. I can't recall any off the top of my head but they all including a "buying" section in the front of them on stuff to look for. Definitely take the time to look the car over thoroughly.
