Default California Problem

Dont do that

Its not going to cool it off much, might make it worse if anything. If you’re that bent on cooling down the engine you should get an aluminum radiator.

EDIT: What’s the deal with the forum now automatically linking key words to a related websites? I take offence to that in the worst way .......okay im just gonna call em how i see em.... Its a personal violation/attack because its turning me into some type of product pimp and making it look like im suggesting things that im not. Its using MY WORDS to promote THEIR CRAP. Who’s idea is this? If they want to sell a product they can MAKE THEIR OWN AD!! AND NOT use me as some type of #^cK!ng puppet.

Who’s with me?

Yes it is illegal to operate a car without the hood in Cali. But it's kinda like spitting on the sidewalk. Cops won't mess with you unless they have a reason to. Kinda like if they KNOW you did something, but didn't see you. It's just another excuse to pull you over if they want to.

And Gun Jam, it's another way for the forum to make some bucks. There is a link in the stickey to disable it. In OT there are a LOT of us complaining about it. Maybe the admins will get the hint that NOBODY likes it.

Yes I found the link after I posted but its with cookies. Those are LOCAL just because I cant see them doesn’t mean it turns them off for everyone. I cannot allow my text to be hijacked with links to stuff that A) I dont agree with. B) Makes money using my posts C) Gives the messages a distracting feel.

If they want to use keywords to redirect to ad sites setup a sticky post with all the key words they target and let people click on those if they want. But dont use me to do YOUR bidding. I hope the mods at Mustang Forums can see my argument and agree why I will not/cannot allow it. This hijacking\abominating\pimping\exploiting of my post must cease and desist at once

Don't you think you are being a little dramatic about this. If it bothers you so much then disable it and get on with your life.

BTW - 90% of the time, running without a hood DOES help your engine run cooler.

Hey I’m just saying I dont want to be used especially at the benefits of someone else that’s all especially since it cant be disabled. I can make it so I cant see it but that doesn’t make it better.

And I do think spending a few bucks on an aluminum radiator would be the way to go or having the old one redone. Running with the hood off might give at slightly better cooling with a plugged radiator and simply delay the inevitable. With a properly working radiator a huge volume of air is forced over the engine weather it be through the fins or around the sides of the radiator or under.

Well, looks like they listened to the VAST majority on this, and turned the "feature" off. THANK THE MF GODS!

if your car is overheating to the point where the only solution is removing the hood.....you should probably not drive it until you fix it......

its not meant to be driven without a hood, legal or not....its just not a good idea......just get a new radiator....simple as that. No hood looks dont look good on anything but maybe a 1932 ford coupe....
