I have never seen a crossmember under the engine. Where's it at? i know my impala, and ford truck has one, but i dont see one on my 66.

Well, sounds like jacking it up is the thing to do. I threw that out there whimsically and guess it isn't just a silly idea afterall. Thanks all of you who responded. No better site than here to get info and share ideas!
