a hood lock would be good since you can start the car with a screwdriver by touching the solenoid the right way. Someone could steal a carburetor in minutes.

naw, You can totally hotwire a old mustang, all you have to do is open the hood, and have a couple of feet of wire.

That will turn the car over, but it wouldn't start unless you keep a connection for the coil. Thus, the wire........

I have a couple rides with switches in them, more so for the ignition to work correctly than for anti theft. One of my more valuable GMs has a bunch of switches, some need to be on, some off, and a couple hidden ones just because I couldnt ever lock the door. If you can get it started, either I showed you, or you are a master at electrical connections and circuitry... Of course crappy paint and a radio with chrome factory lookin ***** keeps people out of it, if they only knew about the SONY under the seat, the AMPs in the back, and the hidden speakers throught the car... lol..

I knew somebody with a van like that. He had a console of alot of toggle switches, You had to flip them in some sequence, then it would fire up. Pretty cool.
