good replacement engine

YOu can stroke a 289 to a 347............... I'd keep it original, and take that 289, make it a 347 stroker, with aluminum heads, etc. You can really moveeeee.

well the thing with doing that is it could never be put back to complete origniality 347 stroker looks original but its really not a 289 ne more so far everthing ive taken out and had replaced ive either repainted it or made it look some what new because one day im gunna find a 66 fb shell and swap over every after market and upgraded peices and sell the my coupe in original for. At least thats what i want to do

Oh, ok. Well it was just a suggestion. IT wouldn't bother me. NO ONE could tell that it was something other then a 289. They would if they tried to race you though.
