DISK BRAKES
I ordered my kit from John's Mustang http://johnsmustang.com/Catalog/642/ and received a complete kit. I haven't started putting it onto the car yet because once I got the old drum brakes off, I didn't feel right putting all these shiny new parts onto dirty, rusty spindes, so I took the spindles off to restore them. Then the lower control arms looked out of place so I took them off. THe entire front suspension is now off the car, being blasted, primed, then repainted piece by piece. A lot more work, but it'll look awesome once its all back together.

Hey man, Front disk breaks are the way to go. I just did mine last w/e for about $400. I went to a junkyard and pulled the front spindles off of a 1980 Granada. Then I bought new rotors, calipers, pads, tie rods, master cylinder etc. from advance for a 1980 Granada. Everything bolts right up and it is def. the way to go if you are looking to save money. The car stops 10x better.
If your looking for a nice disk brake setup for just normal driving, then take a look at what I did... Review this link ---> Disk brake setup
I did mine for under $600 with a new power brake booster and master...!!

If your going to disk brakes on one end only - FRONT! Majority of your braking is up front, that is where you want disks. I put new Stainless Steel Brakes Corporation disks all the way around and pitched the single resevoir for a dual for safety.
All new kits front and rear will set you back nearly a couple thou - but you can scrum up a lot of parts in salvage.
