Default auto-standard swap

The car is actually my cousins its a 71 mach 1 with 351c. we sant to swap to a standard and are looking into 5 and 6 spds. We would appreciate any help with links, parts, advice, anything you got that will help. also opinions on 5 or 6 i personally like the 6 idea 2 overdrives = great gas mileage and top end. We just want to know what it will take.

Richmond gear makes a 6 speed thats a 5 spd with one overdrive but I think its for a SBC not sure if they have one for a Ford. A 6 spd in a Mach would be nice.

You could try www.mustangsunlimited.com for the parts to do the conversion to the 5 speed. You could also try www.mustangsteve.com for info-he also sells conversion parts.
