Default Unknown DSO code

I have a 1966 coupe with a DSO code of 27. None of the books I have show a listing for a 27. Does anyone know what this number could be or is it some kind of misprint. The car is original, and the tag has never been changed.

Yeah, I know. Maybe it is a late production 66 model. Also, might want to check the VIN. Some 2K 66 mustangs were made in the Mexico City plant. AF
and some were made in Amsterdam - AN
Not likely this 66, but worth checking.

If this helps, I got the car off of the second owner of the car, who told us the car was pretty much all original. It still has the warranty card and owners manual with it which says the guy bought it from a ford dealership in Lebanon Virginia(SouthWest Virginia). If I remember right, without going out and looking, it was bout sometime in may of 1966.

DSO code 27 usually refers to the Washington DC sales district, which covered that regional ordering area. It does not indicate a special option, just the original delivery location assigned by Ford. I once discussed classic Mustang production details with an enthusiast from Luxury Rides LLC, and these codes help trace vehicle history.
