Distributor Question
I removed the distributor of my 289 V8 for a manifold change and reinstalled it.
Today a buddy of mine told me that i needed to make sure that the distributor had a good connection with the oil pump, or else my engine could be destroyed.
As far as i know, the distributor is in place and is all the way down.
I mean, i fitted it back in the original position and it wouldn't go all the way in at first, so i tried for a while and after some time I managed to get it in all the way down and at the correct rotor position. Is this good enough to connect to the oil pump.
Please give me some feedback.
