Decided to take some pics for you guys, so you can see the swiss cheese floor, and how far I have it torn down. So far it still needs the tail lights, rear bumper, and dash pulled before I can sandblast it.

Pieces still needed to buy, trunk floor, tail panel, and the piece the seats bolt to that is welded above the floor panel. When I start going back together, I will take pics of every step. That way if you decide to attempt this sort of thing, you can always look and see how bad I made it look..lol.

C130nav might like some of these...

My God, Todd. You really are a glutten for punishment, aren't you? That has to be the worst looking rust bucket I have ever seen. Did they pay you to take it out of their yard?

wow, that's definatly the worst rustbucket i ever saw. you might as well just build the car from scrap and order every part seperatly and weld it together. Then take the Vin from the other car and scrap it to destroy the evidence.lol

I didnt photgraph the $4000 worth or parts I have sitting here for it, $3000 in sheetmetal.. I think my welder is gonna die after its all done!

I have done worse cars, but mostly they were patched with sheetmetal cut from hoods and doors of other cars.

The rough part is that I cant stand or walk for very long. My knees are pretty bad, so I am limited in how much I can do each week. I need a few things to make it easier, but going back together will be easier, warmer weather will help too!

The engine will be done sometime next week, gotta get new rod bearings, mine are .010 and I need .030, the crank was worse than I thought. Lots of pics from that project for you guys who want Cleveland info. Transmission will be sometime after that, anyone want pics and info on rebuilding an FMX trans? My girlfriends nephew wants to help and learn about them, so maybe I will have him do the work while I take pics!

I want it done by June, because I run out of money then... lol.

Not to discourage you buddy. Just an observation that you are one hellava adventuresome fella to tackle a project such as this. We will be pulling for you for success, as we have all been at that point in some measure during our restorations. Yours is just more far gone than I think any of us have experienced. Yeah, that mig will get a workout. That's for sure. I know what you mean about bad knees. Motrin is my daily dosage thusfar.

Cant do motrin anymore. The dosage needed to take the edge off is more than a stomach can handle. 1800mg twice a day is too much of the stuff. USAF candy.

I know its a big job, shoulda done one of the Pontiacs instead. Only one of those is rusted this bad..lol..

Advil is Ibuprofen, and that is what I use. It takes the edge off, but not totally. I tried Glucosamine/Chondroitin for several months with no results. I guess it is a knee replacement in the future for me. [:@]
