Lets see, take that 289, bore it, and put a 347 stroker kit in it. Then get a holley Fuel injection system. BIngo, same original engine, but a FI 347.

Problem is I threw a piston and the heads and block are trashed. Sounds as if the engines are compatable...

A 347 made out of an old style block or a newer 302 block? If its a newer block and you have a 4 speed and I assume you do because you're asking about pressure plates
you're going to need a special bracket to use with the Z-bar. I looking into getting a 331 stroker and I was told if you use an older block you wont need it, but if you buy a newer block you'll need this bracket.
