i want to make my car loud i have dual exhaust flowmaster 40 series with turn downs. is it true if i cut the turndowns off it will sound better and louder???

It will be louder because you would be redirecting the exhaust from the downward position to straight out.

"Loud" does not equate to "better!"

Do you play guitar by chance? If so, think of a high-wattage, new, solid state amp vs. a 1964 Fender Delxe Reverb (all tube). The new one may go much louser than the Fender, but not have near the warmth and tone. There is much to be said for the quality of your exhaust note. Loudness does not equal coolness...

The exhaust should really exit behind the passenger compartment. not underneath it, or atleast to the side. I don't like turn downs. It is old school, low buck crap.
