Default Classic or 5.O???

Just need some advice. I have a 68 coup[e and i am thinkin about selling it so i can get somethin to drive everyday. I am 18 so in the near future i will need some reliable transportation. Would you guys sell the 68 and get a fox body er somethin er should i find some POS and drive that in the winter and the 68 in the summer? Or i could get a fox body and do some mild performance work to it and drive it year round.

Dont sell your stang. You will regret it. My dad does to this day. Buy a pos and drive it whenever you cant drive the 68

I would find something else to drive, infact that is what I did. I have a 97 intrepid for the winter car. Who cares if it rusts out from the salt. I got it way cheap because the previous owner thought the trans was going, its a vacuum leak on the intake. Dont ask, Dodge is wierd. You can pick up a small front driver cheap, or you can get a Fox Mustang and have two cool rides. I would get a Fox, it doesnt even have to be a 5.0 for a DD. Just cheap, easy on gas and reliable.

Hold onto your mustang, they go up in value every year and believe me if you sell it you will always miss driving it. I miss driving my 67 Cougar all the time, especially when I ride in or drive an early Mustang. I havent sold the car, it just hasnt run since 1987 and I miss driving it ALOT. Its a project slated for sometime in 07 or 08. No I wont ever sell it either.

I bought a 1990 Ford F-100 Lariat XLT pickup to drive during the winter. Now that I have it, I don't see how I ever got by without a pickup. Not only can I pull trailers, I can throw stuff in the back without worrying about scratching the paint. So, to answer your question, don't sell the Mustang if you can afford a second car. A fox body mustang isn't worth as much as a classic, and they just don't have the appeal.

I definitely wouldn't sell the 68 b/c the 67-68 body style prices are going way up, especially with the eleanor craze. Just look at the prices of 67-68's on ebay compared to like 3 yrs ago. Their has been a huge jump since the eleanor thing started.

Right on, a truck is very handy, espcially the F150 size. You can get them cheap, I got my 92 for $2500 in 03 and put 70k miles on it since then.. That year truck is tough and cheap... look around

The 68 will always be worth more money than the Fox. Look at it as an investment strategy.

i drive a 1988 f150 with 172,000 some miles...they are tough...i got rid of a $27,000 2004 model truck...so i can afford to restore a 65 coupe...and i bought the 1988 truck to drive from work and back...there just something about a classic car...
