Wheelhousing
Anybody replaced the complete wheelhousing inner and outer? Would it be a less pain in the chocolate starfish to buy a completed assembly. About the only one could find was through Car parts discount for $121. But only have to spend about $75 to assemble myself. What you'll guys think?

Unless you are replacing the quarter panel at the same time it might be impossible.

its a royal PITA. im trying to save my 1/4's since they were recently done by the previous owner. ive got most of the housing cut out but still have the strip attached to the 1/4's. ive been using a grinder to get all of the spot welds instead of a drill. it looks kinda messy but i guess i will roll them up anyways so it wont be very noticeable.
I had the quarter skin and outer wheel housing rpleaced on the right, full quarter and outer wheel housing on the left. This was done in '04 along with all the rest of the complete restoration... was opened up like with a can opener, but well worth it. I left it to "professionals" as I don't do paint and body, but everything else is mine.

Workin on that right now. Outers only, inners can be patched easier in my case. If you get an assembled one that takes some work out of it for you. If its a quality piece it shouldnt be too difficult to install. Remember to mock it ALL up with very few tack welds. I would test the fit with the 1/4 as well, clamp it to the car so you can see if anything needs moved. Vise grips are your friend....
