well i just bought my car last week and right now is its first rain at its new home and it use to be a garaged car anyway i have to small rips in my top about a inch across i think on the seem
and way it looks like its only ripped through the first layer i see another layer of viynl or what ever these tops are made out of inside of the rip is water going to leak in there and ruin anything wheres it going to go

Well, water leaking in is a possibility. Do you have the well liner inside? That should catch any water that enters in the rear. The piece you have shown can be replaced without replacing the entire top. I am not sure how the bottom attaches, but the top zips just above the glass. Anyone else have any better thoughts?

^lol, sad but true I had to do that once... lol. Yea as long as the well liner is in place it'll catch any water, as for the tears take it to an upholstry shop and get a quote shouldn't be too expensive, and worth all the money!
