Dude, i love the roll bar. I have debated putting one in my car since the day i purchased it. Did you at least start with a kit, or is that all custom(the hoop at least looks generic, i think)?

I had the CDC light bar that we used as a pattern (we knew it would fit under the raised top). We welded in the CDC "B" pillar brackets to receive the "stingers". The rest we fabbedusing SCCA approved 1 3/4" soft steel tubing. Last step was having it powdercoated. Here's a view of the completed roll bar out of the car. Including the CDC light bar, I have about $900 into the one-of-a-kind project.

You might wanna consider going into the rollbar manufacturing business that looks great! The one thing I would change for my liking though would be to use a bit larger diameter tube just for the visual appeal. Otherwise, yea I'd pay for a bar like that!

I'm with that too (about thicker tubezz). Nice work though, that looks real nice and professional.

I'm with you on the thicker tube, but SCCA specs are for 1 3/4" tubing. I'm working on adding some high end 1" thick fire proof paddingthatwill go all the way aound the bar. It should look more beefy. Sorry, but the family budget can't cover the liability risk of making a few roll bars. LOL!
