have 2006, think the converts weigh more. where is this weight? is it in the frame around the windshield? or is that wishful thinking?

 

The weight is mostly in the subframe connectors but there is also more reinforcement in the windshield. Actually, the sn197 verts don't weigh that much more to the coupescompared withthe sn195 verts with their coupes.

 

All I know is I had to replace the windshield on my '02 and the fact it is a vert meant the windshield was not the same as for a coupe.. and also more expensive [:@]

 

The A pillar on the S197's is raked back more than the coupes. I've read they only weigh 160 lbs. more which is not too bad. Next time you can park next to a coupe & compare the angle of the windshield.
