I wanted to drop the top yesterday, but when I try to lower the driver side 1/4 window nothing happens. No clicking sound or anything,, it just won't go down!

This has happend 3 or 4 times now.. and as always the next day (this morning) I try the button & the window goes down & up no problem at all(!) so I know the window motor is good.. Can it be a short circuit or loose wire, or what?? Anyone else have this happen?

 

May be the switch, had to replace one of mine awhile ago on another car.

 

if you can get to the motor after you try to put it down anddoesn't go down , and get you multi-meter out and see if it is sending power or not.

 

Well the window motor is a pain in the butt to get to, but getting to the back of the switch panel is pretty easy.. I was thinking to jumper or hotwire power to the window directly from the switch panel, but can't figure out which 2 wires are the ones going to the driver side 1/4 window,,, does anybody know?
