Default My convertible top woes

Ok, I got a 97 gt convertible. The latch on the left side is messed up, is really hard to open when I close it, but to close it, i have to stick my arm out and force the top down. Also, I was told my top could be "off track". There are some tiny small holes in the top, couple of big ones, nothing to ghetto though.

Should I just replace the top? If mine is off track, I dont want a new one getting messed up. Thats a lot of money.

Does the top appear to have been twisted or otherwise damaged? It's hard to say what do do without seeing what you're talking about.. post a pic of the problem areasif you can(?)

That tops looks pretty beat. Mine is the opposite my driver side is a bitch to get undone and back on but the passenger side is pretty easy to get off.

my drivers side latch was like that for a while but after afew weeks of having to strain myself to rip it open i guess it got bent and now it opens and closes fine but it doesnt close all the way and leaks
on my way down to florida this week i had to stick my sock in the leak when it rained really hard
