i just put a new window switch in the drivers side thinking that was the problem. Guess not, it still won't work. Excuse the stupid question, but where is the fuse box and which fuse controls the windows?

 

is it the motor? does your passenger window work using the drivers switch?

 

just had the same problem with my 01 convertible. The driver window was stuck in the down position. After reading the forum they said just smack the door panel where the window motor is located. It must be near the center I think. Well, after pulling off the bezel for the switches I slammed the door closed and lo and behold it started working again. The thread said not to roll the window down tight but leave it slightly up. Works for me.

 

There's two locations for fuses. Under the steering wheel column and under the hood by the battery.
