Question Convertible window replacement

After trying to search for questions about convertible window replacement I am now asking for some advice. My "65 convert. has a vinyl rear window that has come apart at the zipper. The zipper attached to the top has come undone. Does this require removing the top so that it can be resowen? If I want to replace the old vinyl for a new vinyl is that also a do-it-yourselfer?
Thanks

I can't believe that I am the only mustang with this problem. So how did you solve your problem?

The shop manual has some good pictures showing replacement. You do not have to remove the top, you only have to remove the staples at the rear bow (done outside of car), and at the tack strip (in conv. well) air stapler is main tool you need to staple the zipper portion to top bow, and bottom portion to tack strip.
