Ok here it is.. I have to change my convertible top on my 97 gt I just bought the top piece but another issue i have is my rear window it is glass but on top where the glass is attached to it has a tear, Is there a piece that i can remove the glass and put it on a new fabric or do I have to buy a whole new glass?

 

O.K.b00gs. here it is! '97 Stang 'Verts came with a back window panel which is separate and independent from the convertible top cover(the convertible top).

You can install a back window or you can install a convertible top. You can install both(on the '05 Mustangs to 2009, anytime you need to install a new back window, you have to change out the whole convertible top).

You cannot however change out the back window and put it into a new piece of vinyl. The vinyl parts are heat laminated to the glass at the convertible top factory.
