Post Light Bar versus Style Bar

I have a new 2010 Candy Red GT Convertible Premium. So far, I've upgraded to a four pillar spoiler over the wimpy lip wing that came stock. Hood scoop and side scoops are on the way. New Flowmaster is sounding great. And have already installed a Bel Pro RX75 Radar / Laser Jammer system. And this is just the first month.
Now I'm thinking about a style bar for appearance and to stiffen the body up some. So which one? With or without the lights?
I like the lights with the top down, but with the top up wouldn't it light up the interior like crazy. I don't really want it to look like I'm playing with small explosives every time I hit the brakes with the top up.
Opinions? Anyone have either installed? Pro's and Con's would be helpful.
Thanks

I'm not a fan of the rear light bar etc. It breaks up a lot of the lines. If you go for it please posts pics!

Found the style bar on American Muscle for 279.00 on sale. Can't really see spending another $120 for a few LEDs. Guess that makes the decision easier. Will post pics when I get it installed.

I would be surprised if the '10 light bar did not have the same feature as the 05-09 in which the light gets deactivated when the top is up (at least on the CDC). You might want to look for a copy of the install manual to double check.

Don't count on these bars doing much for stiffening things up as they are made from a fairly thin walled pipe and with the way they mount, not going to do much for the chassis.

Great looking car! Love how you installed the laser jammer. Love the scoop and spoiler. I ordered mine that way from Ford. As for the style bar I'm still not a fan but you've got a great car.

I like the look of the bar. I will probably eventually get one for mine but it is really low on the list of things I want to do for the money.

I got the CDC light bar on my '09. My wife was rear ended a month after we got the car. When I showed her the 2 bar options, she insisted on the light bar. It make is much more noticeable, day or night. Looks wise, it's the best upgrade I've made. Get compliments every time I have the top down. (It's wired so the brake light doesn't come on when the top is up)

Nice car. Love the color! I went with the LED styling bar for the safety factor and not for the stiffening of the body because it don't and won't stiffen it. We get many compliments on the car. Enjoy your ride.

It looks great. I have the light bar in my '02, so the light comes on even with the top up. With the black top/headliner - you don't even know the light comes on, unless you turn your head around to see it's glow. It's not noticeable in the mirror or out of my peripheral vision.
