Default 2010 GT Conv Harmonic Vibration

Hi Everyone. Has anyone noticed a vibration at low RPM 1000 to 1300 at cruise or under slight load. Dealer said it was the sound pipe connected to the air box that goes into the firewall. I disconnected and capped the sound pipe off at both ends. No Change! My car has 8000 mi on it and this vibration has become much more noticeable and is starting to **** me off. Any feedback will be appreciated. I was thinking about changing to an after market exhaust to try and eliminate the problem, but my fear is it might get worse. Thx

I'm sorry but I can't even imagine the sound, let alone be able to confirm it with your description. If it is a vibration, do you feel it more pronounced on a door or gearshift? In general I've had no issue to speak to with my car's exhaust note.

Don't know about the 2010, but my 07 had the same symptoms. It was caused by the exhaust pipe hangers attached to the transmission mount structure. They are used to hold the pipes in place on the assembly line, but serve no purpose beyond that. The fix is to remove and discard them. There's a TSB on this, at least for the 07 model.
