Default wash question..

I have an 03'Gt .. I have no problem washing the car and i do a good job except for one part.. the hood scoop. That grill collects all that water and i can never get it dry.. i mean does the grill come out or what do you guys with the 99-04's do?

ya i kno what u mean. what i do is semi dry my entire car then take it for a quick spin so that the rotors wont accumulate water and during that drives i pump my brakes. usually that action frees water out of certain areas including the scoop, and i go around the car once more with a chamois to complete the drying process.

Good idea, except for the chamois part... really, do your car a favor and get a nice waffle-weave microfiber drying towel... or two... and use those to dry. Touch up with a smaller microfiber towel as necessary. The microfibers won't scratch and also help lift any dust away from the surface that might.

Chamois have no "buffer" and any dust can scratch the finish -- especially if you've been spinning around the block.
