Default Interior Trim Kits

Help! I've been bitten by some sort of bug that comes with springtime and makes me want to buy a new car!! (A convertible, of course) I talked myself down out of that tree because it just so happens that I have a great 2001 Mustang GT that's just begging to be modified and made into a monster.

What to do with the engine/exhaust/etc. is clear enough. But I want to do some interior modifications, too. So, here is my question: Does anybody know if there are interior trim kits that are NOT applique but solid pieces? I'm not too keen on the idea of sticking on brushed aluminum trim--does it stay? does it last? does it look cheap?

Can anybody help a girl out?

Thanks!

I wouldn't put the stick on stuff on my Stang if I were you. I mean, come on, it's your Stang! I have only seen the
carbon fiber panels in person and they look cool. Try some of the site sponsors and see if they have the brushed aluminum you're looking for. Good luck. Later.

Thanks S~ I appreciate the input. I'm real hesitant on that stick on stuff, too. I hear it is a nasty mess to correct if you don't get it absolutely perfect. I did some more research and I think I might be able to get the same contrast if I just replace the ***** and buttons with aluminum ones. Have you done anything like this to your Mustang?

You could always remove the pieces of your dash that you want in Carbon Fiber or what ever other pattern you are interested in and have them coated. This place can take care of all your needs. Be for warned it is pricey but they do great work.

I haven't done any interior mods, other than a styling bar, but I like the aluminum ***** and such. I'm sure there are pics of someones car on this forum with all that "gadgetry". Try mustangtuning.com I've bought some things from them with great service and fast shipping. Later.
