Default Painting Spoiler

Hey guys,

I am thinking about ordering a 2000 Cobra R style spoiler for my 96 GT. I'm probably gonna get it from www.abcexclusive.com I'm wondering how much it would cost me to get it professionally painted. I would like to do it myself but I dont have the spray gun or any of the materials needed. I live in Arizona so I was just wonderin if any of u guys have any kinda of a guess or know how much it would cost me to get it painted. I dont have a tri coat paint its just regular paint.

the price will depend on where you go. it might be cheaper if one person installs it and they you find someone else the paint it. Or even better you might be able to rent teh equipment to paint the spoiler. But be careful doing that. Good luck.

Well theres going to be alot more my dear than just the spoiler being painted.... Your stock spoiler has 2 bolts on both sides... the Cobra R spoiler will mount and bolt in a different area than the stock one.... Your going to need to get the old holes filled and new holes drilled for the R... so your going to have to paint the spoiler and whole trunk lid.... Painting for a spoiler will probably run between 2 to 4 hundred wherever you go.. and the trunk lid will be more than that.... So theres a pricey estimate for you

How about getting the whole car painted for around $100? I finally solved my paint problem today, I was talking to a guy at work and he said he used to work at a body shop and he'd blast and paint my car for me this summer for about $100 and a 6-pack. Sounds like a good price to me.

Well, I hope you don't end up with a $100 paint job
And I will advise you to give him the 6 pack "after" he paints the car, not while painting [:'(]

As to how much it will cost to have a spoiler painted, I honestly don't know. But if you go to a few shops in your area and explain what you want to do, you'll get an idea how much it will be. Then you can decide if it's worth to have a "R" spoiler.

See Ive never heard of a 100 dollar paint job..... because for that guy its getting ripped off big time.... I mean just the sand paper and cleaning solvents will run you a 100 bucks for the whole car!!!! That just seems a little wierd for me..... And paint!!! wooo eeee paint is expensive... at least if you want a nice brand thatll actually last until next winter..... I would rethink the whole idea if its true...... If you love your car enough to give it new paint love it enough to do an awesome job at least.....

$100 bucks sounds a little pricey for me!
I mean you know all he's going to do for that amount is buy spray paint at .97 cents at Walmart . 6 cans should do the trick.
lol--- Seems to me you are getting ripped off---lol

Good luck and post after pics so we can all see this paint job
