not hard, just a couple of bolts, but Depending on what spoiler You want to get...You may have to drill Diff holes, and fill the others in, thats what i Had to do for my Cobra R wing.

Easy as pie..what 4 bolts to remove. Just fill in the old if your new one doesn't line up. If not drill 4 new holes.

Just use a normal body filler. Also for the new one make sure you use a watertite silicone sealer or something like that on the new one's holes.

Do you think a 2001 spoiler would work on my 97?? I like the newer spoilers much better. Like the 99' anniversey edition and the 2001 and up spoilers. Let me know 2001mustang if you want to sell your spoiler, if I could get it to work for mine!

Don't know if the bolt holer are the same but if you wanna do some filling and drilling I bet you could make it work. The only way it wouldn't work is if it was wider then the trunk-lid. Don't think that would be an issue though.

Newer spoilers WILL NOT work with older body styles...... they are not the same length and width of the trunk decking......
And to fill holes on your trunk lid you have to sand down with a grinder and weld metal plates over the holes and then grind down to a smooth surface again.... then prime and color..... Just using a filler in that whole will result in cracks...

Could always use a screen along with in on the underside. Depends on how far you wanna go. A good trick for filling holes like that is to cover the filler with duct tape. When you take it off you'll have a lot less sanding and shaping to do then if you don't. When you do it just smooth it out gently with your fingers or something else.
