polish vs. wax

Claybars will get the oxidation off and the paint will feel silky smooth. Like stated above polish shines and wax protects. Polishes are abrasive and cut into the coat and bring out the shine while waxes protect the finsih from the elements.

Get a claybar kit from Meguire or Mothers then after you do that wash the car. Get a good polish and put that on followed by a wax, both of your choice.
