Default Painting window scoops

Just ordered the Xenon quarter window scoops for my 2006 tungsten grey. Has anyone painted them themselves who can offer advice or should i just bring them to a body shop. my only concern with the body shop is they won't be able to match the color exactly to the car, maybe im just paranoid. any opinions on what i should do, scoops arrive on tuesday.

With our cars being so new, I doubt anyone would be able to notice a color difference with the naked eye. Besides, the scoops are not molded into the body. There is a definate line of seperation. That will cause shadows and give the illusion that the scoops are the exact same color.

Do you have an air compressor and a spray gun? If so, just go to Ford and get a quart of Tungsten grey paint, they can mix it up for you. I sure the body shop can get it just about dead on.

+1 on that. Get a quart and paint away my friend.

If you don't feel comfortable doing it yourself, then get an estimate. What year is your car? If its fairly new then worrying about color matching is useless. If its an 05 like mine, then I would definitely take it to a body shop to match it, its worth it in the end. Trust me.

For that little, I would definitely let a pro do it.

The body shop at the Ford Deal here in Phoenix did mine for about $150. They did a great job and it was well worth it.
