Default Purple Power

Has anyone used "Purple Power" to degrease there engines? I've looked at other post and noticed that alot of people use "Simple Green" but does it really work?? The stuff that I have says that It is biodegradable and thats its in a concentrated form. I plan on cleaning my engine because it became very dusty after it was painted and I've never done it before. Any helpful hints??? Thanxs in advance for any help you can give me!!!

I use this stuff called greased lightning I think its the best for degreasing by far, works wonderful for me but seems harsh on metals, and then I spray everything with a tire shine foam.
