africkanV6,

I'm personally not a fan of pressure washing on a regular basis.

I like to wash by hand with a quality sheepskin mitt (I'd use two buckets on a dark car -- car wash suds in one and a rinse in the other).

For drying I like to recommend microfiber towels using a "pat" or "blot" method on dark cars, or I use the drag method on my silver SVT.

Likely your "swirl" marks are really spiderwebbing caused by improper drying or drying of a dirty vehicle -- if not improper washing methods to begin with.

I'm not a big fan of power washing, however I have done it on my F-150. I only do it afer off-roading and the mud is so thick it needs it. Your wash and drying techniques cause swirls. Fine particles will scratch the paint. Power washer are genearlly too harsh. The psi is usually two high or the wrong nozzle is used. I've seen guys peel paint off using a power washer. I use a two bucket wash method. One bucket has clean rinse water, and the other is soar with a grit guard at the bottom. I use a microfiber sponge to wash. Drying is done with microfiber towels. This can help reduce swirling. If you want to get rid of the swirls, I recommend Meguiar's 5 step paint process. I would also claybar to help with the glass appearance to the paint.

I would recommend against pressure washing. Its continue use, specially around the wheel wells will lead to early failure due to the fact that everytime you wash front end or back end will strip away grease IMO.
