Default Engine cleaner??

What's a good chemical that I can spray down the engine bay w/ including the aluminum/chrome parts and not have to worry about hurting the finish?

Thanks!!

I say just go to one of the "pay by minute" self wash places and use their engine degreaser and pressure wash. I always use it on my cars (I live on the coast line alot of salt) and I always get compliments on how clean my engine compartments are. Sombody prolly has a great reason why you shouldnt do that but it works for me and its easy. Let me know how if works out for ya.

I have tried everything and Greased Lightning has far outperformed every other brand. Just spray it on there and rinse it off, it should get almost all the grease and grime off. Then go back to the bad spots with a brush and scrub for a couple of seconds. If you want to detail all the rubber hoses use a UV Vert top cleaner. It works the best and doesn't atract dirt like Armour All....
