You don't just "borrow" some nitromethan. It requires to totally re-tune the car. A/F "sweet spots" are totally different, bushings should always be replaced with softer ones to cushion the blow on the crank.

Maybe "nitrous oxide", but no way nitromethane for just that (go read up Hot Rod magazine's article on it, and you'll see why I'm thinking somethings up with it).

yeah, i borrowed the slicks and im into all sorts of racing, and i have ready access to nitromethane and propelene oxide, and like i said, i screwed the car up, and i wasnt running straight up nitro, a little can be like a power adder. and i did it without first consulting my dad/carbuilder/adviser and almost destroyed the engine by running to lean. but yes, i did put n/m in the tank, but as an additive, not as a fuel. we do it in our racing karts all the time in the outlaw class. quite legal, and i thought i'de get the same results in my car.

the time was 12.61. but i'm more into making corners than going into a straight line so im not to concerned about drag racing.

You can transplant the kits fairly easily.
