Default Bugs..

I always have been pretty **** about keeping my car clean and before i had a silver mazda which wasnt too diffcult to maintain. I have had my new white mustang gt for about a month now and i am at college and have to keep it outside not in a garage which keeps it pretty hard to maintain and the fact that is white doesnt help much either. But like all of us i am faced with the common problem of getting a great deal of tar and bugs on the front which drives me crazy. I use turtle wax bug and tar remover to get most of them off and it does an adequate job but its a pain removing each bug individually....i was just wondering if you guys or girls had an input on what you do to keep the bugs from accumulating in such vast amounts.

I use Poorboys Bug Squash. I use it full strength for large amounts of bugs and diluted if they aren't that bad. I just pretreat the areas before I wash and when I'm ready they come right off.

There isn't really anything you can do to prevent bugs. Just keep a good layer of wax or sealant on the car and they should come off easier.

^^What he said^^ Take the time and muscle to get rid of all the bugs. Then IMMEDIATELY polish the bumper, then apply a good coat of wax (maybe even a second) Then wash your bumper at least once a week and they should wipe right off of the waxed surface. But if you don't wax and you let them fester - they will bake on and become a royal pain to remove.

With my Saleen waxed up good, most of the bugs come right off with a duster. Only the larger bugs that become "splatter" need a light wiping with some detailer and a microfiber.

I use the Turtle wax tar & bug remover if they are bad. Always try to keep two coats of wax on the bumper. Using a damp dryer sheet gets them off pretty good.

Use Meguiers mist and spray, but only works well if you have a good coat of wax on your car, then its easy wipe off...

I agree with everyone else. keep it polished or waxed and most of the bugs simply wipe off with water and little effort. A scotch brite dobie sponge won't hurt your paint and works great.
