Rust behind the license plate
Hello,
I changed my plate out and noticed from vibration that the paint was being wore off always to steel with very little rust.
Not visible with the plate on.
What is the best thing I can put on the car just to prevent more rust?
Keep in mind I'm not a body guy, I'm a bucther when it comes to that kinda stuff.

I prevented the rubbing, vibration rub thing on the metal by placing plastic plates (like the temp plates dealers have) behind the real metal one from DMV. In other words, first you use the plastic, thin plates, then place the DMV ones on top. As for the rust, I'll let the pros help youi on that one.

bit of foam tape will work as well, use thin stuff. For the rust you need to sand it down and prime and paint the bare metal. Most parts stores will carry some touch up paint that will match pretty close. Your lucky it's in a spot that is not visible
