does anyone know if there is a cover out that just goes over the cockpit part of a mustang convertible when the top is down. i know they make one for corvettes, but i cant find one for a mustang. any help would be great.

 

It is called a tonneau cover and is usually made of fiberglass. These things look great and make you car look like a 2-seater rodster. Do a search on Ebay.

 

You can also get the Mini tonneau cover from Ford. It's only $111 and folds up pretty small to fit in your trunk. I just got mine today and put it on for the first time tonight. You don't need to modify the car in any way. Take a look at it Here

 

i have the same cover as yours reckless.tim, i got mine for i think $75 new off ebay, but i was looking for a cover that goes over the whole interior when the top is down, kinda like a mini-car cover, just for the interior. here is a pic of one for a corvette, but i cant find one for a mustang.

top boot, but hard?

Also...is the top supposed to go down flush with the decklid or down into the trunk?
Is there a mod that does this?

 

i think that ford makes a top boot cover that is hard, i think it folds in half so you can fit it in your trunk, im not sure if the top is supposed to go all the way into the trunk though, mine just goes flush with the decklid. when i have my soft tonneau on you can still see where the corners of the top are because it doesnt go down far enough.
