Default pinstripe removal

a couple months ago i removed my pinstripe along the side of my car because it was kinda peeling off. When i removed the colored stripes there was like a clear piece between them that didnt come off as easy. I have to scratch it really hard to get it off and now that i have more free time i was wondering if there was a better way to go about removing this.

its not really adhesive though. its kinda like it was a clear stripe inbetween the other 2. but its harder to get it to come up. Would a heat gun work? and is how hot is too hot for my paint?

+1, and it is adhesive it's a double sided tape, peel one end up so you can get ahold of it and get a blow drier to heat it up and it should come off nice and easy, used this method to remove the door moldings
