I am getting ready to paint my stang this winter. I bought a 24 by 12 foot enclosed tent and sealed off the ground with plastic and plywood. I was curious as to what kind of paint i should use, Should i use two or single stage paint. I was thinking of a silver metallic with black stripes. also where would be the best place to put an exhaust fan?

Use some furnace filter on the fan, I would put the fan low so that the fumes/over-spray does not get up into the air. Remember to put a filtered inlet for fresh air as well. As for paint I like PPG but I have had good luck using stuff from www.autopaintdirect.com . Whatever you do, keep all your supplies from the same company, do not mix primer from PPG and color from Dupont etc. If this is your first paint job I am going to suggest that you stay away from metallic paint, it's harder to spray. You can go base/clear or single stage, but single is easier and cheaper.

Yes it will help keep dust down, but the downside is that all the extra moisture willl make the paint dry slower, and you run the risk of splashing water on the car.

I use the PPG DBU line which is urathane, but remember that urathane is not good to inhale (actually any paint is bad) a mask is a must, a self contained fresh air system is a better bet.
