Does anyone know of a good cleaner for the crome pieces around my windows (winshield, back window, side, ect) I tried New Finish crome cleaner but 2 minutes later it looked like crap again. Thanks

 

If it is chrome, I'd recommend a mild chrome polish for starters... something like Mothers (it's good for glass, too).

I'm trying to remember if that's chromed aluminum or polished aluminum or something else.

When you say it looks like crap, what's that mean, exactly? What's the finish problem? I mean, is it oxidized, pitted, or ?

Aside from specific chrome polishes, you can also use products designed for glass and plastic that remove fine scratches, oxidation, etc. It really brightens up the chrome and removes some flaws. For just regular cleaning, glass cleaner works great because it doesn't leave any residue, which obviously is key because of the reflective finish.

 

hey thanks for the help. Sorry no pictures yet still trying to get my camera to work. They are just really oxidized i think. Very cloudy looking, no scratched. I tried to polish them but it did nothing, but ill try your suggestions. Also my wondows were bashed out, windshield, and front windows (some jacka** used my windows for bating practice ) and when i had the windows replaced they looked good again but about a month later i noticed that my front windows were both scathed like crazy from roling them up and down, i guess there was glass lef t in the wether stripping when they were replaced and it scratched my windows, know of any thing that would help me out there? ill try to put pictues up tomorrow. thanks again for the help.
