I've just purchase a '91 convertible, and I'm not familiar yet with all the "nuances" of how these things are put together. Can somebody tell me exactly what attaches the door speaker grills to the door besides the obvious (and inadequate) single screw ? There's only one screw, but a bunch of plastic pin-like extrusions on the backs of the grills in my car. It appears they are intended to attach to some other, apparently missing, fasteners from behind the door panel (?). Anyone know what I'm talking about ? The panels are currently only held on by only the one screw, and that just doesn't seem right. Thanks.

 

there are clips that hold them in place they are easy to break though, that sounds like what has happened to you
