What kind of buffer are you using? What kind of polishes? Do you have any pics? Try to explain your method a little better. Thanks!

Zaino Z-5 will take care of 'em.

I know that Zaino can take care of them, so can many other polishes. The tiny scratches could be left by not working a polish in enough and that causes micromarring. Also a too aggressive polish could have been used and a light abrassive polish might be needed to finish up the job. Also the buffer used might not be powerful enough to do paint correction. There could be a lot of factors.

I find it hard to recommend something without knowing all the variables. The polish he is using still might work, the method just might have to be changed a little bit.

So what kind of buffer do you recommend? I was thinking of getting a DeWalt 847.

I wouldn't recommend a circular polisher unlesss you are experienced with one. You can cause a lot of damage with one. I recommend the Porter Cable 7424 dual action orbital polisher. It is great for beginners and you can still get awesome results without having to worry about burning up the paint. I'm currently having a sale on the Porter Cable. I also have a package deal that has everything you need to get started....Porter cable,6 inch backing plate, orange light cutting pad, white polishing pad, and gray finishing pad. I think it is totally worth the investment.

if they are extremely small you can use turtle wax scratch remover (white) works great.
Wash the car then apply the scratch remover, wax it after your all done to protect it

mothers and meguiars I think works well, buy a rubbin compound and have at it... megauirs also makes a kit, that will not allow you to burn up the paint.. but any dual action should work

Has anyone else here used this Porter Cable 7424 or any other polisher? How much do they cost?
