Is replacing the top on an 02' that hard to do yourself. Some of the quoted prices I have got are crazy. Can't be that hard can it? How long should I expect this to take?? My rear glass is fine as is the inside. So all i need is the outer piece right? I just have a couple tears on the outside and was hoping I did not have to buy the whole thing.

 

if you dont know what you are doing then i wouldnt even attempt it. we replaced my top on my 94 about 2 years ago and we had 3 people working on it every afternoon/night for a week straight. we thought the same thing you are thinking, is it really that hard, but yes it is. if i ever had to do another one, i would gladly pay the $400 the upholstery shop quoted me for install. it ended up looking good, but it was a major PITA...

 

+1 I am planning to replace my top this winter and I will pay a pro to do it. I also heard they a BITCH to do yourself.
